Members of this family have been involved in the arts to the present day and the current generation includes painters, writers, and designers actively working in the United States and in Europe.

We wish to preserve this heritage for future generations whilst opening up the tradition of artistic endeavor to cultural exchange.

It is with this goal in mind that the Parthey Foundation was created, and offers summer sessions dedicated to a range of activities:
  • one and two week cultural immersions focusing on regional history and architecture ( Burgundy, The Alps, and the Rhone Valley areas) as well as wine tasting and cuisine

  • plein air painting and drawing sessions with renowned, european artists

  • a summer design lab for emerging artists to come together and generate new, experimental work.

Participants enjoy a beautiful, peaceful setting only two hours from Paris and Geneva.
The atmosphere is one of a family house where guests are received with the warmest hospitality. It is the perfect setting in which to relax, enjoy the best regional french cuisine, wines and foods fresh from the organic garden and orchard.
